The Company is pleased to advise that the Whangarei District Council have awarded McConnell Dowell, in joint venture with Transfield Services, the contract for the construction of a new bridge over the Lower Hatea River in Whangarei, New Zealand.  Procured through an ECI process, the project includes bridge approaches over geotechnically challenging ground and a new 265 metre long Bascule Bridge spanning the River. The Company is pleased to advise that Hyundai Engineering and Construction Company Ltd have awarded McConnell Dowell South East Asia Pte Ltd a contract to construct the Underground Pedestrian Walkway for the new Specialist Shopping Centre being developed on Orchard Road.  McConnell Dowell’s scope of work includes the design and construction of the temporary civil works and subsequent construction of the underground walkway including civil and structural works, road re-alignment and landscaping.
