The Company is pleased to announce that the team at the Ambuklao and Binga Hydropower Plants Rehabilitation project in the Philippines have achieved 1,000,000 man hours LTI free. The Company is pleased to advise that final inspection of the waterway at Bogong Hydro Electric Scheme was successfully completed on the 4th September and the tunnel plug door closed. Filling of the main headrace tunnel commenced at 14:00 AEST via the cooling water offtake at McKay Creek (around 200L/s) to provide a buffer of water up against the plug prior to the main fill commencing. Water will be directed into the waterway from the McKay Creek Power Station turbines, from around 06:00 this Sunday, the 6th September. The Company is pleased to announce that the Ambuklao and Binga Hydropower Plants Project achieved 2,000,000 man hours LTI free on Friday 5 August. This significant achievement was achieved during the rehabilitation project that will soon yield 225MW of Hydro Power into the national grid of the Philippines. Ambuklao station is already supplying power to the grid and final pre-commissioning shutdown of Binga station is well underway.
