Te Apiti wind farm is currently the largest wind farm in New Zealand and in the southern hemisphere. The wind farm consists of 55 turbines each capable of generating 1.65 MW and in total up to 90 MW. The Company is pleased to advise that Alstom Power Singapore Pte Ltd has awarded McConnell Dowell South East Asia Pte Ltd the civil contract for phase A of the Keppel Merlimau Cogen II Power Station Project. The scope of work includes: all underground services for the 400MW combined cycle unit; civil foundation works for the gas and steam turbine; turbine hall; Heat Recovery Steam Generator (HRSG); feedwater rack; approx 20,000 m3 of concrete and 2,000 t of reinforcing steel in the foundations; transformer area and miscellaneous structures; and building works for the warehouse, electrical control building and GIS Station.
