Komo Airfield, PNG, Contract Award
The Company is pleased to announce that MCJV, a joint venture between McConnell Dowell and Consolidated Contractors, has been awarded the contract to procure and construct the Komo Airfield in Papua New Guinea (PNG).
Komo, which is located approximately 10 km south east of the Hydes Gas Conditioning Plant (HGCP) and the future Juha developments, has been selected as the site for the project airport to support the PNG LNG project which will develop gas and liquid hydrocarbon resources located in the southern highlands of Papua New Guinea. The PNG LNG Project is sponsored by a joint venture consisting of Esso Highlands Limited, Oil Search Limited (OSL), Santos, Nippon Oil, Mineral

The Company is pleased to announce that Dampier Bunbury Pipeline (DBP) has awarded McConnell Dowell Constructors (Aust) Pty Ltd the DBNGP Stage 5B Looping contract in Western Australia.
The project includes 440 km of 26” pipeline construction looping the existing DBNGP pipeline spread from Loop 0 near Karratha to Loop 10 east of Bunbury, W.A. Jakarta Tank Terminal project
The Company is pleased to announce the successful completion of horizontal directional drilling (HDD) works at Tanjung Priok, Indonesia on 14 February 2009 for PT Jakarta Tanker Terminal, a joint venture between Vopak and AKR.
During the 11-hour pull back operation a 552 m long, 363 t pipe bundle consisting of nine steel and HDPE pipes ranging in diameter from 6 to 16 inches was pulled approximately 31 m below the sea bed.
Oiltanking Jetties, Merak, Project Milestone
The Company is pleased to advise the first berthing of a vessel at Oiltanking’s new Merak Jetty, the first independent deep water terminal built in Indonesia. The Torm Mathilde, a fully laden 109,000 DWT ship, unloaded her cargo on 1 September 2009.

The Company is pleased to advise the McConnell Dowell Constructors Thai Ltd have been awarded the EPC contract for the IRPC Gas Pipeline project in Rayong, Thailand by PTT Public Company Ltd (PTT).
The pipeline is required to transport gas from PTT’s Third Transmission Parallel Gas pipeline to downstream customers at the Integrated Refinery and Petrochemical Public Company (IRPC) at Rayong.

The AdelaideAqua consortium companies comprise Australian-based McConnell Dowell, Spanish firm Acciona Agua, Abigroup and United Utilities. Together they will design, build, operate and maintain the plant for 20 years for South Australia Water.

McConnell Dowell's Batam Facility is the company's key fabrication yard in South East Asia.
Established in 1998, the facility covers 15 hectares and is strategically located 20 km from Singapore. Located in a trade free zone to cater for export fabrication, the facility supplies Australian, Pacific, South East Asian and Middle Eastern clients. The site has open water frontage and a draft of five metres for shipping and barge load-out.
