WAITAKI BRIDGES, ECI CONTRACT AWARD

The Company is pleased to advise that McConnell Dowell Constructors Ltd has been confirmed as the preferred tenderer for the Waitaki Bridges Replacement Project for the New Zealand Transport Agency. This project is to be delivered as an early contractor involvement (ECI) contract.

The contract is divided into two separable portions, SP2 and SP3. SP2 will involve preparation of a specimen design, negotiation of commercial terms (including price) and contract duration. SP3 involves the completion of the detailed design and physical works. The physical works involve the replacement of two single lane bridges (256m and 140m long) crossing the Waitaki River on State Highway 82 which provides a link between Kurow and Hakataramea. URS has been engaged by the company to carry out the design services.
