The Company is pleased to advise that the McMahon Leighton joint venture has awarded McConnell Dowell Constructors (Aust) Pty Ltd a flashbutt welding subcontract on their BHP Billiton Rapid Growth Project 5 (RGP5) Rail Infrastructure Project at Port Hedland, Western Australia.
RGP5 rail is a project to duplicate 220km of existing heavy haul line between Port Hedland and shaw Siding on the Newman/Yandi Line in the Pilbara region. MacDow will supply a 2 man crew and our specialist flashbutt welder to assist in the final stages of the project.
Mobilisation to site begins shortly with a two month project schedule.
