The Company is pleased to advise that McConnell Dowell South East Asia Pte Ltd has been awarded the fabrication and supply contract of eight process modules for Alstom Power Singapore Pte Ltd. These modules will be fabricated in Batam and delivered to Keppel Merlimau Cogen II power station on Jurong Island, Singapore.

This is McConnell Dowell’s third award by Alstom at the Merlimau site, the previous being for both civil and marine works, highlighting the breadth of service the Company can offer.

These modules also further highlight the broad capability of the yard itself, with the scope of work covering end to end construction. This includes complete fabrication of the steelwork and piping, assembly with mechanical equipment, electrical and instrumentation, and full testing before shipping to site.

Works will commence immediately and delivery of the first four modules is forecast for December 2011.
