The Company is very pleased to announce that the PARs project in Singapore has achieved 3 million man hours without a Lost Time Injury.
The scope of works includes the erection of 7,000 Ton of structural steel and installation of 156,000m of pipe work. 130 pipe rack modules manufactured in our Batam yard have also been installed on site.
Working in and adjacent to the existing live plant, under a stringent multiple permit-to-work system, and interfacing with numerous other contractors are the challenges faced on a daily basis which the project team has successfully managed.
There have been many safety initiatives and training programmes on this project including Safety for Eyes, Hands, Working at Height and Heat Stress Awareness, as well as Lifting, Cranes and Communication, and Basic Rigging Training. Mandatory Behavioural Based Observations have been enthusiastically adopted and practiced by all staff.
The Project Management team also runs Workforce Hazard Identifications, weekly joint client / MacDow senior management site safety walks, and pre-start hazard identification incorporating a five-step risk assessment process. It is also important to acknowledge the excellent relationship with our client, FWP, and the owner Exxon Mobil in respect to safety.
Congratulations to the entire project team for this exceptional safety accomplishment.
