The Company is pleased to announce that the St Mary’s Water Recycling Project, delivered under the Deerubbin Water Futures JV, has won two awards at the Sydney 2011 Engineering Excellence Awards announced at the Engineers Australia Sydney Division dinner on Friday night. The Company is pleased to advise that McConnell Dowell South East Asia Pte Ltd has been awarded the fabrication and supply contract of eight process modules for Alstom Power Singapore Pte Ltd. These modules will be fabricated in Batam and delivered to Keppel Merlimau Cogen II power station on Jurong Island, Singapore. The Company is pleased to advise that McConnell Dowell South East Asia Pte Ltd has been awarded a supply, design, delivery, installation and commissioning contract for the Cement Unloader and Cement Conveyor System for Terminal 2 at the Jurong Port project by Jurong Port Pte Ltd. McConnell Dowell will be delivering these works in partnership with IBAU Hamburg (a cement ship unloader specialist) and Aggregates Engineering (a conveyor system specialist). The Company is pleased to announce that the Ambuklao and Binga Hydropower Plants Project achieved 2,000,000 man hours LTI free on Friday 5 August. This significant achievement was achieved during the rehabilitation project that will soon yield 225MW of Hydro Power into the national grid of the Philippines. Ambuklao station is already supplying power to the grid and final pre-commissioning shutdown of Binga station is well underway. McConnell Dowell, Fletcher, Obayashi, Beca, Parsons Brinckerhoff and Tonkin & Taylor consortium prove winning formula for NZTA’s significant Waterview link. The New Zealand Transport Agency has today awarded Auckland’s Waterview connection contract to a consortium of partners including constructors, McConnell Dowell, Fletcher Construction and Obayashi Corporation, and designers Beca, Parsons Brinckerhoff and Tonkin & Taylor.  The consortium will work together with NZTA to deliver the project and the partners bring significant expertise to the project, including specific tunnel design, system and construction expertise at both a local and international level.  This is the single largest project ever delivered in New Zealand to date. MCJV, a joint venture between McConnell Dowell Constructors (Aust) Pty Ltd and Consolidated Contracting Company Australia Pty Ltd, today announced it will commence immediate delivery of the Australia Pacific LNG 415 km main export pipeline and associated facilities. The delivery of the 36” and 42” diameter gas pipeline and associated facilities from the coal seam gas (CSG) fields in the Surat and Bowen basins in south western and central Queensland to Curtis Island, off Gladstone, follows MCJV’s completion of the Front End Engineering Design (FEED) and early works contract awarded in December 2009 by Australian Pacific LNG.
