MARINA SOUTH LIGHTER WHARF PROJECT AWARD

The Company is pleased to advise that McConnell Dowell South East Asia Pte Ltd, has been awarded the Marina South Lighter Wharf project for the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA).
The scope of work comprises:
- Construction of a 3 berth wharf, 100 m long (frontage) x 20 m wide;
- 39 x 800 mm dia. steel piles supporting the concrete deck;
- Dredging to the front of the new berths;
- Single storey office building, including M&E works (45 m long x 8 m wide);
- 200 m long x 10 m wide access road, including piled surface water drainage system; and
- Services reticulation along the new access road alignment and connection to the existing services.
Construction works commence in September 2010, with overall completion by August 2011.
