The Company is pleased to announce that Ma’aden, the Saudi Arabian Mining Company, has awarded Dutco McConnell Dowell the Reduction Area Mechanical & Piping Installation Contract at Ras Al Zwar, in the Eastern Province in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
The contract includes:
- The mechanical installation of potroom equipment including Busbars, Potshells, Pot Hoods, Superstructures and Floor Slabs;
- Supply, pre-assembly and installation of potroom Cathode Busbars;
- Busbar connection between potroom sections and links to the rectifier;
- Piping works to connect superstructures and other equipment to the utility headers;
- Assembly, installation testing and commissioning of various cranes in the reduction area, including Pot Tending Assemblies, Tapping and Miscellaneous Assemblies, Transfer Gantries, Cathode Transport Assembly and various other service cranes; and
- HVVAC works for various service buildings in the reduction area.
The project is due to be complete by July 2013.
