The Company is pleased to advise that PT Mitratama Perkasa, a subsidary of Bumi Resources, has awarded PT McConnell Dowell Indonesia (MDI) the construct only contract to upgrade the Bengalon Coal Crushing and Port Facility.
Bengalon is part of the Kaltim Prima Coal (KPC) operations in East Kalimantan and KPC is the largest producer of thermal coal in Indonesia.
The project is to upgrade the existing facility from 6 mtpa facility to 12 mtpa and is a follow-on from MDI’s original greenfield project for the Bengalon Coal Load Out Port Facility that was completed in 2006.
The scope of work includes:
- Earthworks;
- Piling;
- Civil & Concrete;
- Mechanical; and
- Electrical & Instrumentation.
The work will commence immediately with a 28 week schedule.
