The Company is pleased to advise that the Barwon Heads Bridge project won the Victorian Civil Contractors Federation (CCF) Category 4 ( $20m - $75m ) award at their 2011 Earth Awards dinner on Friday night.
The CCF, in their 18th year, recognises construction and environmental excellence by Australian civil contractors, and is the most prestigious award in the civil construction industry.
This win recognises the project team’s excellent management of a challenging project which involved significant construction underpinned by extensive stakeholder and community management. The project entailed the building of 300m long road and pedestrian bridges, as well as road and pavement works on each side of the Barwon River, working around pedestrians, public traffic, anglers, and mariners all within a small working corridor.
This win has qualified us for the CCF national awards to be held in October on the Gold Coast and the project has also qualified as a candidate for the Victorian Chapter of the Australian Institute of Engineers award night to be held next month.
