Archipelago Resources awarded McConnell Dowell the ECI contract for the Toka Tindung Gold Project in Manado, Indonesia.

Initially the early project scope was to refurbish a gold process plant that had been purchased in South America, but the works were expanded to include the following areas:
 

• earthworks
• civil & concrete
• structural steel erection
• tanks assembly
• mechanical
• piping
• electrical
• instrumentation
• pre-commissioning of the plant

This project is an example of Early Contractor Involvement (ECI) which allows the client to benefit from the experience and capabilities of the contractor in identifying the most time and cost-efficient strategy to bring a project online.
