Southern Region
Our Southern Region Branch, which provides multi-discipline capability for Victoria, South Australia and Tasmania has recently been awarded the stage one contract for the Common User Facility (CUF) Project by Port Adelaide Maritime Corporation (PAMC) in Adelaide, South Australia. The CUF Project forms part of Techport Australia, the home base of the Royal Australian Navy’s $6 billion Air Warfare Destroyer project and under development by PAMC as Australia’s largest naval shipbuilding hub.
The CUF project will comprise a wharf, dredging, ship lift and transfer system together with associated civil works, dry berth and associated facilities, pavements, buildings, site services, communications and security systems. Stage one consists of the planning, design and pricing of the works over a 12-month period, with overall completion scheduled for 2009. This is an Early Contractor Involvement Commercial Model, which is also the same delivery model as our Bakewell Bridge Replacement Project in Adelaide.
